Recipe Details
This technique uses a 9-bar slab mold. I made homemade dividers for this design, but you can make your own or try the technique without them. See the dividers in the Budding Vine Swirl tutorial.

Technique Skill Level
Advanced. This technique requires an understanding of trace and the ability to work quickly. It is essential to choose a fragrance that does not accelerate or discolor the soap batter. A fragrance that decelerates trace is even better. Patience is needed to allow the batter to reach the proper trace before proceeding.
To prepare for success, watch the tutorial, read all instructions, and gather your supplies before beginning. Although the swirling technique is advanced, the palm-free, vegan base recipe can also be used for other soap batches and is suitable for beginners.
